KennyQuinn has no idea how long this little joint has been open, but we have to tell you about it! It was amazing. We ate at LoriAnne's a while back and I never got around to blogging about it because, quite frankly, it wasn't anything to write home about. It wasn't bad or anything...I just couldn't find the time to write about it. Oh, sure, we met LoriAnn in real life at Tully's and that alone is reason enough to eat there. Anyone who drinks at Tully's in their cook outfit at 10pm when their restaurant closes at 3pm is someone I want to help out financially. She looks a little Tully's if you know what I mean. The homefries are a pleasant, unnatural shade of orange. Handicap bathrooms. Nice view of The Presidents City Inn. Whatever.
Craigs Cafe closes at 4pm. KennyQuinn strolled in around 3:35pm on a whim. I need to mention that it's not like a regular breakfast place. There are no waitresses. You tip them in a little jar on the counter after you pay at the register before you eat. I love this! The next time I come here (because I will) I will tip generously. $5.10 gets you the ol' 2 egg breakfast. We thought that was a little steep. It's NOT. Tip the charming woman with the almost well hidden vauge accent. She also puts the cream and sugar in your coffee for you. They have a Newcomb Farms style bathroom. If you don't know what that means then you obviously have no respect for Quincy.
Our food was ready in less than five minutes. A sweet 14 year old boy brought it to our table. A nervous little fellow, from what I could tell.
Heaven on a plate is what he served. I know for a fact that the home fries were deep-fried. And loved deeply by at least Quinn. Eggs were perfect. The toast was fantastic. I would gladly pay $7.00 for that fine plate of breakfast. I liked the noticably cranky cook. I have to go to bed right this second. Go to Craigs Cafe.
